Worship, and why we need it!

Updated: Jun 15, 2022

Worship is something that all Christians need to attend for regeneration and renewal. God has implemented the worship to be the central heartbeat and lifeblood for the members of His body. Because of this institution, we must come together publicly to receive His promises and give thanks for His mercy.

Several churches used online worship before the pandemic that hit the world in 2019. This medium of worship plays an essential role receiving the promise and comfort during a time of duress. God has used this time to remind us that He is in control, and His message is more essential than ever.

As wonderful as online streaming is for those unable to attend due to certain circumstances, we should not overlook the opportunity to come and commune together in person. Worshipping together appears in scripture from the beginning of time in the Garden of Eden. Worshipping together extends to the moment of Pentecost when the tongues rested on the disciples. We also see the importance of the gathering in the Passover in the Old Testament and the gathering of the twelve in the upper room. Paul Copan writes, "The call to worship means inclusion in the life of God. Worship expresses an awareness of God's – and thus our – proper place in the order of things, and it also transforms us into what we were designed to be."

Acts 2:42; Acts 2:46-47 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

God has placed high importance on us to come together as one body under the instruction of scripture to hold one another responsible and learn to keep each other in the best of light. We are praying for one another, sharing in the eucharist, and sharing with the rest of the angels and archangels for God's wonderful gifts in life. Worship in a committee focused on the Triune God, and His grace is not a privilege or right but a necessity. For those unable to attend for various reasons, we hope you can one day rejoin in this joyous celebration that God has set before us. We also intend to ensure that you will receive the Body and Blood of the Lord and savior from our new team that will deliver the valuable and regenerating gift.
